About the Practice

A law practice shaped by the pace of careful thought

Aram Jai Law was founded on the idea that family matters deserve a different quality of attention — unhurried, considerate, and focused entirely on the client in front of us.

Our Story

How Aram Jai Law came to be

Aram Jai Law opened its doors on Sathorn Nuea Road in Bang Rak with a straightforward intention: to offer family law counsel that respected the pace at which people are able to make difficult decisions. The name, drawn from the Thai concept of a settled heart, reflects that original intention.

The practice grew from the observation that family law work, at its best, is about helping someone understand their situation clearly — not steering them toward any particular outcome. A client who understands their position is better placed to make decisions that actually hold, whether those decisions involve a written plan, a negotiated agreement, or a court process.

The office handles a defined range of family matters: initial consultations for those who want to understand their position, separation planning for those who have decided a written arrangement would be useful, and full settlement representation for more complex matters involving property, children, and financial responsibilities. We do not handle other branches of law, and we believe that focus shows in the quality of the work.

Bangkok's international community and the Thai families navigating cross-cultural family arrangements form the core of the practice's client base. The office works in English and Thai, and has experience with the particular questions that arise when more than one legal system is relevant to a family matter.

Standards & Protocols

How we hold ourselves to account

Thai Bar Association Membership

All practising members of the team hold current registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand, the statutory body governing legal practice in the country.

Strict Client Confidentiality

All matters are handled under professional legal privilege. Client information is not shared with any third party without explicit written consent, and files are stored securely under access controls.

Written Communication Standard

Every substantive piece of advice and every decision point in a matter is confirmed in writing to the client. Verbal conversations are followed by written notes within two working days.

Client-Approved Strategy

No submission, proposal, or hearing step is taken without prior written approval from the client. Strategy meetings are scheduled at the client's convenience, not the office's.

Clear and Fixed Fee Disclosure

All fees are disclosed in full before any work begins. Any work outside the defined scope of a service is agreed in writing and priced before it is carried out.

Personal Data Protection

The office operates in compliance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Client records are retained only as long as legally required and handled with appropriate security measures.

Our Practice

Family law in Bangkok, handled with care

The Thai Civil and Commercial Code provides the framework for family matters in Thailand, covering marriage, divorce, parental authority, maintenance, and the division of property. Navigating that framework is easier when the person advising you takes the time to understand your circumstances before suggesting a direction.

Aram Jai Law works within that framework with a consistent approach: begin with a thorough account of the client's situation, explain the relevant provisions in ordinary language, set out the options available, and support the client in making a decision that reflects their own priorities. The office does not use urgency as a sales tool, and it does not recommend proceedings where a written arrangement would serve the client just as well.

The practice has particular familiarity with questions that arise in international families — where spouses hold different nationalities, where assets are held across more than one country, or where child arrangements involve travel or relocation. These situations require care with the interaction between Thai law and the laws of other jurisdictions, and the office approaches them with the caution they deserve.

Clients based in Bangkok's Silom, Sathorn, and surrounding districts find the office convenient to reach. Appointments are available during standard office hours, with some flexibility for clients whose work schedules make weekday visits difficult.
