Our Services

Three services, each shaped to where you are in the process

You do not need to have decided anything before you contact us. Each service is a self-contained offering, and clients move between them only when — and if — it makes sense to do so.

Our Approach

How the practice works

Every matter at Aram Jai Law begins with the same step: listening to the client's account without interruption. The circumstances of each family situation are different enough that advice given without adequate listening is rarely well-fitted to what the client actually needs.

The three services reflect three different moments in a family law matter — a person wanting to understand their position, a person who has decided a written arrangement would be useful, and a person whose situation involves enough moving parts to require full representation. Each is a complete offering in itself.

1

Initial account

The client describes their situation without legal framing. The adviser listens and asks only clarifying questions.

2

Framework explanation

The relevant aspects of Thai family law are explained in ordinary language — without assumption about what the client wants to do.

3

Options and implications

The paths available to the client are set out, with the implications of each. The client decides what — if anything — to do next.

4

Written summary

A plain-language document confirming what was discussed and what options are available. Produced after every session.

Service 01

Quiet Consultation Hour

A single, unhurried sixty-minute session for clients who would like to talk through a family question without committing to any further step. The hour covers a calm account of the client's situation, a plain-language explanation of the relevant framework, and a short written summary of the options available. The summary is the client's to keep. There is no expectation that the conversation continues into formal instruction.

  • Sixty minutes of undivided attention from a qualified family lawyer
  • Plain-language explanation of the Thai legal framework relevant to your situation
  • Written summary of options — yours to keep regardless of what you decide next
  • No further commitment expected or implied

Service 02

Separation Plan Preparation

A focused service for clients who have decided that a written separation plan would be useful — whether or not formal proceedings are contemplated. The work covers a structured conversation about household, financial, and child-related arrangements, drafting of a clear plan document, and a review meeting before any further step. Each section is written in the client's own framing where possible.

  • Structured conversation to gather the client's preferred arrangements
  • Drafted plan covering household, financial, and child matters
  • Review meeting before the document is finalised
  • Written in the client's framing — not a generic template

Service 03

Comprehensive Family Settlement Representation

A complete representation service for clients whose family matter involves several connected questions — separation, child arrangements, household property, and financial responsibilities. The work covers full documentary preparation, all written submissions or settlement proposals, coordination with any mediator or co-counsel, and direct representation in correspondence and hearings. Each decision affecting the matter is referred to the client in writing before it is taken.

  • Preparation of the complete documentary file
  • Drafting of all written submissions and settlement proposals
  • Representation in all correspondence and any hearings that arise
  • Every strategic decision referred to the client in writing before it is taken

Standards applied across all services

Confidentiality

All matters are held under legal professional privilege. Client information is never shared without explicit written consent.

Written confirmation

Every substantive step is confirmed in writing within two working days. Verbal conversations do not replace written documentation.

Thai Bar compliance

All practising team members hold current registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain annual professional development requirements.

Fee transparency

Fixed fees are confirmed in writing before work begins. No additional costs arise without prior written agreement from the client.

Data protection

Client records are handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act. Access controls and retention limits are maintained.

Named responsibility

Each matter is assigned to a named member of the team who holds responsibility for it from opening to close. Clients are not passed between advisers.

Not sure which service fits your situation?

Most clients begin with the Quiet Consultation Hour, which gives enough clarity to decide whether — and how — to proceed. There is no obligation to move further, and no pressure to decide in the session itself.
